Australian Memory of the World selection policy, criteria and nomination process

Introduction This document, prepared by Alan Howell in 2002, outlines the selection policy, criteria, nomination and assessment procedures for the Australian Memory of the World Register at the time. The document uses significant sections from the revised Memory of the World General Guidelines prepared by Ray Edmondson (Ray Edmondson, Memory of the World: General Guidelines to Safeguard Documentary Heritage, Revised Edition 2002, Paris: UNESCO, Information Society Division, 2002).
